We’re pleased to announce the acquisition of Sprout Studio, an early years and education digital marketing agency, into the Lines Capital portfolio.
Sprout Studio will operate as a sister company to our longstanding partners at Beyond Co., bringing focused, sector-specific digital marketing expertise to the education space. The acquisition reflects our continued commitment to investing in businesses that are shaping important industries, and we’re excited about what Sprout Studio brings to our growing portfolio.
why we acquired sprout studio
Sprout Studio caught our attention because they were already doing something very well – delivering digital marketing that speaks the language of the education sector. That kind of specialism is hard to build and easy to underestimate. They understand the nuances of early years and education: the audiences, the sensitivities, the way trust is built. That’s not something you can replicate overnight.
Co-founders Georgina Pavelin and Jade Francis have built a business with real credibility in a sector that matters, and when the opportunity arose to bring Sprout Studio into the Lines Capital family, it felt like the right move at the right time.
our move into education
This acquisition is part of a broader, deliberate push into the education sector. Between Sprout Studio, our recent investment in Futuready, and our ongoing relationships across the space, education is becoming an increasingly important part of what we do at Lines Capital.
We believe the sector is at an inflection point – more open to innovation, more in need of quality support, and more consequential than ever. We want to be embedded in that, not just as investors but as active contributors to how the industry develops.
what’s next for sprout studio
There’s plenty in the pipeline. In the near term, we’ll be investing in a new website and a refresh of the Sprout Studio brand – bringing it up to a level that reflects the quality of the work they deliver. We’re also focused on building a stronger social media presence, giving the business the visibility it deserves in a crowded market.
Beyond the brand work, we see real opportunity in leveraging the existing client database – deepening those relationships, identifying where Sprout Studio can add more value, and opening doors through the wider Lines Capital network. The combination of Sprout Studio’s sector knowledge and our reach is something we’re genuinely excited to put to work.
Crucially, Georgina and the co-founding team will remain central to everything. Their expertise and relationships are a core part of what makes Sprout Studio valuable, and we have no interest in changing what works. This is a partnership, not a takeover.
why education marketing matters
It would be easy to treat education as just another vertical – but we don’t see it that way. The organisations working in early years and education are shaping how children learn, how families engage with their development, and how educators do their jobs. The marketing and communications that surround those organisations matters. Done well, it helps the right people find the right support. Done poorly, it lets genuinely important work go unnoticed.
That’s why we think there’s something meaningful in getting this right – not just commercially, but in terms of the difference it can make to the sector as a whole.
“We’ve worked with a lot of agencies and partners over the years, but this feels different. Lines Capital understand the education sector, they understand our vision, and they’re as invested in making this work as we are. It’s a really exciting time for Sprout Studio.” Georgina Pavelin, Co-Founder, Sprout Studio
“Bringing Sprout Studio into the Lines Capital family felt like the natural next step. The education sector deserves world-class marketing, and that’s exactly what we’re here to deliver together.” Jake Lines, Managing Director, Lines Capital
